Agnus Dei
Dedicated to the parents, staff and pupils of Broomwood School who raised the money and founded a school for orphans in Ethiopia. The Agnus Dei, which ends with the words Dona Nobis Pacem (Give Us Peace), summed up what I felt about what they had done.
Catherine Hart and Nikki Kingston from the group Celeste took my theme The Distance Between and, together with arranger Paul Bateman, we have turned it into our Agnus Dei. At the recording in Prague, the choir gave so much to the piece. It was a wonderful and memorable performance.

Childhood suite
I conceived of the CHILDHOOD SUITE as representing some of the feelings felt as a young child and the recollection of these in later life – in particular the power of these feelings and the need to find some way of make both peace with them and finding a relationship between the inner world and the outer world.

Oxi: An Act of Resistance
The feature film OXI, written and directed by the award-winning Ken McMullen, stars John Shrapnel, Gabriella Wright, Lex Shrapnel, Dominique Pinon, Eleni Kallia and Alexis Georgopoulos. The instrumental score is performed by the Medici Quartet, Andy Crowley (trumpet), Mary Scully (bass) and the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
